- Limits
- The larger limits apply straight away, and a fresh cycle starts from the payment.
- Usage counters
- Counters restart, so an exhausted metric becomes available again as soon as the upgrade completes.
- Worth knowing
- This is the fast fix when you have hit a limit mid-month.
A scheduled change is visible in the dashboard while it is pending, so you can confirm what will happen at the next rollover before it happens.
Checklist
Before you change plans
- Check both metrics, not just the one that ran out — the smaller plan has to cover your queries as well as your writes.
- For a downgrade, compare your current month against the target plan limits so the first cycle is not an immediate limit.
- Confirm payment details are current, since an upgrade takes effect on successful payment.
- Move alert thresholds to match the new limits after the change lands.
