Plans Overview

MemorySync offers five subscription plans — Free, Starter, Pro, Scale, and Enterprise. Each plan defines monthly request limits, included features, and a support tier. This page documents every plan exactly as defined in the system’s single source of truth.

All Five Plans

Every plan has two metered limits: add requests (memory writes) and retrieval requests (memory queries). These are the exact monthly quotas enforced for every account:

PlanPriceAdds / monthRetrievals / monthSupport
Free$010,0001,000Email
Starter$29/mo50,0005,000Standard
Pro$179/mo250,00025,000Priority
Scale$349/mo500,00050,000Dedicated

These are the exact monthly quotas enforced for every account. There is no hidden buffer — once your quota for the cycle is reached, additional requests are silently no-ops (writes are not stored or embedded; reads return an empty result) until the cycle resets or you upgrade.

Plan Features Matrix

All plans share a common baseline of features. The intelligence system tier and support level differentiate them:

Pricing Structure

Billing is monthly, calendar-month anchored on the day you subscribed. Prices are in USD:

  • Free — $0 forever. No credit card required.
  • Starter — $29/month. For developers building with AI memory.
  • Pro — $179/month. For growing teams with production workloads.
  • Scale — $349/month. For high-volume production deployments.
  • Enterprise — Flexible pricing. Unlimited request volumes, tailored to large teams. Contact sales.

All paid plans renew on a monthly cycle. Payment receipts are sent automatically to the organization’s billing contact after each successful payment, with a branded PDF invoice attached.

Default Plan Behavior

Every new organization starts on the Free plan:

  • When a new organization is created, it is automatically provisioned on the Free plan.
  • If a plan reference cannot be resolved for any reason, the account is treated as Free so service is never interrupted by a missing plan.
  • The Free plan has no expiration — it stays active indefinitely with no payment required.

Plan Resolution Logic

There is a single, authoritative plan catalog. Quota enforcement, the dashboard pricing page, and the upgrade/downgrade flows all read from the same source — so the limits you see in the UI are the limits enforced on the API:

  • Five plans. Free, Starter, Pro, Scale, and Enterprise. Nothing else exists.
  • Safe fallback. If a plan reference cannot be resolved (very rare), the account is treated as Free so service continues without interruption.
  • No duplication. The dashboard, the API, and your invoices always reflect the same plan and the same limits.

Upgrade vs Downgrade Timing

Upgrades and downgrades follow different timing rules:

ActionWhen it appliesWhat happens
UpgradeImmediatelyNew plan takes effect the moment payment succeeds. Usage counters reset to zero. A fresh billing cycle starts anchored at the payment timestamp.
DowngradeNext cycle rolloverThe downgrade is scheduled. The current plan (and its limits) stay in effect until the cycle ends. At rollover, the new plan is applied and counters reset.
CancellationNext cycle rolloverThe cancellation is scheduled. At rollover, the plan reverts to Free and counters reset. You keep the plan you paid for until the period ends.
Key difference
Upgrades are immediate because you’re paying for more. Downgrades are deferred because you’ve already paid for the current cycle. Cancellations follow downgrade timing — you keep your plan until the period you paid for expires.

Enterprise Contracts

The Enterprise plan is structurally different from all other plans:

  • Unlimited request volumes. Add and retrieval requests are unmetered for Enterprise accounts.
  • Flexible pricing. There is no fixed monthly price — pricing is tailored to your team. The dashboard displays “Flexible Pricing” and routes to the sales team.
  • SLA included. Enterprise is the only plan that includes a formal Service Level Agreement.
  • Full platform capabilities. All intelligence features are fully unlocked — no tiered restrictions.
  • Contact Sales CTA. The dashboard shows “Contact Sales” instead of “Upgrade” for Enterprise. There is no self-service checkout path.
